Meditative Mandala Project

Jul 6, 2018 //  by Centre for Practical Spirituality

Wednesday nights in August, starting 1 August

The mandala gives visible expression to breath, as we move from individual mediation into mindful artistry. Emerging out of the rhythm of contemplative practice, the Meditative Mandala combines beauty and prayer, group work and poetic spontaneity.

The Meditative Mandala follows our successful Creativity and Relaxation workshops in February, and is led by psychotherapist Meeray Ghaly of The Living Neuro.

Moving from the quiet of individual meditation, we invite you into this unique pace of collective creation. We begin at 6:35 pm on Wednesday evenings in August, inspired by the rhythm of our regular 6 pm meditative practice. For more information, contact hello@livingneuro.com or info@spiritualitycentre.com.au.

FAQs

I can’t draw!

This is not an “art workshop”—it is a means of meditating. The mandala’s design is accessibly planned: we want you to reflect rather than worry about what your drawing looks like.  You don’t need to bring any art supplies—all materials will be provided with donations accepted.

When and where is it happening?

Wednesday nights in August, starting 1 August. We meet in the Warner Hall at 52 Merthyr Road in New Farm.

It starts at 6:35 pm, but what time does it finish?

7:30

What is the cost?

We will be accepting donations to cover the cost of materials, but participation is free.

Do I have to come every week?

No, just come when you are able. However, the beauty of the mandala is revealed in stages, over time. The more you attend the more you will be able to appreciate the emerging beauty.
